1. Beagles are one of the most vocally expresive dog breeds.

2. Beagles come in 2 different sizes.

Most people don't know that there are two variants of Beagles. One, who are under 13 inches and others that are between 13 to 15 inches.

3. Their long ears help them smell better.

While they keep their head down to sniff, their long ears trap the scent particles
and keep them close to their nose and help them smell better.

4. The white tip on their tail is a sign of a pure breed.

Beagles were specifically bred to have a white tail. So that they can be easily spotted in the forest. All the pure Beagles have a white tipped tail.

5. Beagles were pocket sized before.

Early Beagles were very different than modern Beagles. Back in the 14th century they were so small that you could literally put them in your pockets. They were no larger than 9 inches at the withers, however, over time their size increased and sadly you cannot find pocket Beagles anymore.

6. They are extremely smart at escaping.

Beagles have a curious mind that seeks adventure. They are always looking for ways to escape and wonder on theirown. That's why experts do not recomment leaving them off leash.

7. They have been listed in the top 15 most active dog breeds.

The American Kennel club listed Beagles in the 15 most active dog breeds. Which also includes large breeds like German Shepherd, Siberian Husky and Golden Retriever.

8. Beagles are the sixth most popular dogs in the USA and for all the good reasons.

Their friendly and social personality has made these cute little cuddle monsters a popular choice in modern households.

9. Queen Elizabeth owned a Beagle.
